Spring has officially sprung! That means it’s time to spring into action to get ready for the summer’s beach and poolside fun. Here are a few things to consider as you work on getting ready to bare it all (almost) this summer:
Fitness
Whether it’s Pilates, running, yoga, walking, or a little bit of everything, find whatever works for you and get into it! Here are some ideas from Fitness magazine for getting that body healthy and bikini-ready. Be sure not to overdo it or make any drastic changes without consulting your doctor first. And most of all, have fun!
Skin care
The harsh conditions of winter can leave us with layers of dull, dry skin that is definitely in need of a little TLC. Freshen your skin care routine, switching to a lighter moisturizer for the warmer weather. Make sure to gently exfoliate to slough off dead skin cells and uncover healthier cells. Ever wonder what the most common cosmetic procedures are?
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, during 2010 in the United States, the five most frequently performed invasive cosmetic surgery procedure were breast augmentation, then nose reshaping, then eyelid surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck.
The top five minimally invasive procedures nationwide last year were Botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX®), followed by soft tissue fillers, then chemical peel, laser hair removal and microdermabrasion.
