Spotlight on: Stephanie Graiser, RN (soon-to-be Stephanie Bauman, RN) 
Role at Vinings Surgery Center: Mondays, I assist Dr. Colgrove in clinic day for all rechecks. Wednesdays, I perform pre-ops or work with the new patients in their consult. I spend Thursdays and Fridays in surgery. I enjoy being with the patient from the beginning during the consult all the way through to the surgery and then onto the recovery phase!
Joined the staff in: 2010, after being a patient in 2008.
What she loves most about what she does: After working on a neurology unit for 3 years, I love working at VSC because everyone is happy, healthy and wants to be there. I also really enjoy developing relationships with the patients and helping them feel comfortable while going through a life-enhancing process.
What she hopes patients gain: My hope for patients is for their embarrassing or bothersome areas to be transformed into confidence boosters. Patients often come in feeling nervous or self-conscious. By the time they are done healing after surgery, you can see they walk with their head a little higher and have a pep in their step!
Her biggest piece of advice: My biggest piece of advice for the patients is to bring your caregiver/spouse/friend to the consult and pre-op. It is very important for the caregiver to understand what the surgical and recovery process is to better know what to expect. Patients heal much better when they are thoroughly cared for and not made to feel guilty for going through with the surgery. Everyone needs a positive support system.
Favorite things to do for fun: I stay very active with working out, running, playing softball, tennis and flag football or just being outside. I enjoy going to church and participating in a small group. I love to spend time with my fiance, family and friends. I also stay very busy planning to marry my best friend this summer!

There are so many things that make Vinings Surgery Center stand out from the rest. Specialized attention, vast professional experience, time devoted to inform and educate patients, and
a comfortable, relaxed environment are just a few of the qualities that make it unique. And at the top of the list of what sets Vinings Surgery Center apart is Dr. Colgrove himself. Get to know him a little better now with our video spotlight.
Robert A. Colgrove, Jr., M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) since 1981 and his private practice specializes in plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is a graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School, one of the oldest medical schools in California. Upon completing medical school, Dr. Colgrove began an extensive internship and residency in general surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Residency in plastic surgery was then completed at Charles F. Kettering Hospital in Dayton. Dr. Colgrove moved to Cobb County, Georgia, in 1986 and worked to build a plastic surgery practice that would specialize in the excellence of surgical results with personal patient care. He lectures on a regular basis to hospital groups, radio and television talk shows and business organizations, and is an educator emphasizing the various aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Colgrove continues to hold staff privileges at WellStar Kennestone Hospital and Emory Adventist Hospital. He has held the position of Chief of Plastic Surgery at two local hospitals. On a personal note, Dr. Colgrove resides in Atlanta, where he is an active member of the ALTA tennis organization and plays at the “A” level. He enjoys swimming, biking, weight-lifting, wake boarding and motorcycle riding.

Spotlight on: Jennifer Garrity RN, BSN, nurse injector (recently married, previously Jennifer Carey)
Services she offers: Injections of Botox for facial rejuvenation and dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane and Sculptra, which replace facial volume that is lost with age. Botox and Dysport relax facial muscles to give a more rested and refreshed look.

What she loves most about what she does: “I love the relationships that I acquire with my clients. We get to know each other and work together to help them achieve their desired goals.”
What she hopes her clients gain from treatment: “I want my clients to feel like they still look natural. They love when people tell them, ‘I don’t know what your doing, but you look great.’ When I hear this, I know that we are on the right track.”
Favorite things to do for fun: “I love spending time with my friends and family, especially my husband and dogs. We are looking forward to football season in the fall. Go DAWGS! I also enjoy running and yoga.”

What she hopes her clients gain from treatment: “I hope my patients feel comfortable with me and have confidence that I listen to their needs and try to the meet those needs to the best of my ability. I also hope that they gain knowledge and are better educated on how to treat and protect their skin.”
Favorite things to do for fun: Going to the lake with her husband and two dogs; ballroom dancing.
